I really stink with planners…. until

Something to know about me is that I really love planning. I love planning in my head and I love planning in sticky notes. I really really want to love planning more and being organized. I have had high hopes in the past of using a planner as a central place for all of my planning. I've bought them in the past and after the first few day, it begins to collect dust and just goes to waste. I started to just believe that I'm just one of those people who can't go by a planner. But that's such a limiting belief. If I say I can't, then I guess I can't. But what if I changed it up and said, "I can"? I dream of a day where everything that's going on in my life in one place…. But that day is definitely not today. How the heck do I get all of this mess in one place?

  • My Day Job

  • My Travel Schedule

  • My health coaching business

  • Bills and budgeting

  • My son's school stuff

  • Etc etc etc

It's everywhere. And it's out of control. And when I had a dear friend of mine gift me with a planner for 2021 I saw it as an opportunity. I also saw it as an extension of my princessyness (that's not a word, I know. Just go with it.) It's pretty and pink and has leopard print so how can this not be something I'll use. Plus it has all these things in it that I can really use for things I've always intended to do that I haven't. It has a place for daily "I am..." statements and "I'm grateful for... " notes. It has a breakdown of what types of tasks I need to look at for my business which helps me prioritize. It has month at a glance and daily sheets with it all broken out for me so I don't have to create strategy. Did I mention it's pretty?

So back to the opportunity. I decided to take one part of my life and use it in my planner. The messiest part… my health coaching business. Now I'm not completely all over the place, I have my processes and clients organized, but I could never seem to start the day with a real solid plan of what I needed to do or what I wanted to accomplish. Every day I would scramble to get organized for my day…. But what if I already had a plan and just had to execute??? That alone would take off some stress. So I'm using it. Not only am I using it, it's a solid goal of mine for January to create a habit of using it first thing daily. So fast-forward to today. It's been a week, and I've used it every morning to set my intention for the day.

Let's just sit back for a second and actually celebrate that I'm actually using the darned thing. And I've used it every day for a week. Yay!

Here's the benefits so far….

  • I see the big stuff on my monthly at a glance which helps me look down the road so I’m not surprised

  • I wrote down monthly goals with set dates and made them non-negotiable… and I look at them every day

  • I know what I need to do in the day with noted priorities and a task list.

  • I LOVE CHECKING OFF TO-Dos

  • I get to work in something super pretty every day at the start of my day… I love that.

  • I'm not scrambling at the end of the day to remember what I did.. It's already there.

Can't wait to see what benefits I get from this by the end of the month!

Oh and if you wanna know where I got it.. www.thetribebox.com. They're not paying or supporting me in any way, but if you're in any type of network marketing business this product is really super cool… and did I mention pretty?
